Fluent fifties by Adnan and Zahid

ISLAMABAD, Nov 22: Adnan-ul-Haq and Zahid Mahmood stroked fluent half centuries as Youngsters crushed Muslim by 88 runs in the Chairman CDA cricket championship at the Marghazar Ground.

Adnan hit 58 and Zahid struck 53 to power Youngsters to a total of 219 all out in which Amir Kiyani of Muslim snapped up three wickets for 26 runs.

In reply, Muslim were shot out for 131, Usman Ghani taking three for 22 and Tahir Mahmood returning figures of two for five. Abdul Saleem scored 28 to top the list of run-scorers.

In another match Rawal Town thrashed Al Muslim by eight wickets at the Diamond Ground.

Aftab Ahmed cracked a fine 63 and Ansar Mehmood blasted an unbeaten 62 to help Rawal Town overhaul Al-Muslim’s total of 163 for an impressive victory.

Earlier Rawal Town’s Shakir Mahmood captured four wickets for 21 runs to pin down their rivals for whom Zeeshan Al Naqvi topscored with 42.

Rawal Town bt Al-Muslim by eight wickets. Al-Muslim 163 (Zeeshan Ali Naqvi 42, Jillan Shah 34, Nadeem Akhtar 19; Shakir Mehmood 4-21, Muhammad Nadeem 2-43); Rawal Town 167 for two (Aftab Ahmed 63, Ansir Mehmood 62 not out).
