KARACHI: 18 SHOs penalized

KARACHI, Nov 22: The DIG of Karachi has taken serious notice of the performance of about 18 SHOs (station house officers) of the Karachi

Range Police for their failure to check vehicle snatching and theft.

Their performance was reviewed for the last six months and those who have failed to effectively control this crime have been punished with stoppage of increments and censure.

Besides, some more SHOs/SDPOs have been issued show-cause notices for their failure to combat the crime against vehicles. They will be punished in due course.

The SHOs punished include those of Arambagh, Kharadar, Preedy, Clifton, Gizri, Bahadurabad, Ferozabad, Shahrah-i-Noor Jehan, City Courts, Joharabad, Sir Syed, Samanabad, Darakhshan, Zaman Town, Aziz Bhatti, TPX, New Town and Gulshan-i-Iqbal. — APP
