Narrow win for Model CC
KARACHI, Nov 21: Model CC moved ahead in the All Karachi Al-Faateh Ramazan Colorkit cricket tournament, after beating Al Mumtaz CC by 16 runs at the Malir Raiders ground Tuesday.
Batting first Model CC reached 172 for 6 in the 20 allotted overs with Shahid Lateef (83), Atif Maqbool (47) and Habib Sultan (23) among the runs. Imran Khan bagged 3/38 for the fielding side.
In reply, Al Mumtaz CC were dismissed for 156 runs in 19.2 overs. M. Waseem (37), M. Mohsin (28) and Atiq (27) batted well. But this was not enough to see their team through to victory with Ariz Kamal 3/27 and Masood Akhtar 2/19 doing the damage.
Thursday fixture: Tooba Sports v Comrades Sports, Malir Raiders ground.
