KARACHI: Water wastage

Published November 22, 2001

KARACHI, Nov 21: Thousands gallons of water go waste in the area 5-G, New Karachi.

According to the residents, either the faulty valve or lethargy of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board officials has caused the loss of potable water. The KWSB staffers, they said, apparently forgot to turn off the pumps of the water pumping station.

The residents have appealed to the executive engineer to rectify the fault and stop the wastage of water in thousands of gallon so that other areas may get the water. —APP
