Malaysian ships bring relief goods

KARACHI, Nov 19: Two Malaysian Navy ships — KD Mahawangsa and KD Lekir — arrived here on Monday on a four-day goodwill visit.

The ships are also carrying relief goods from Malaysia for Afghanistan’s refugees in Pakistan.

Soon after arrival, the commanding officers of the Malaysian Naval ships, with other senior members of the crew, called on Commander of Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Shahid Karimullah at the Fleet Headquarters.

They remained together for some time and discussed matters of common interest. The commanding officers of the Malaysian ships also visited the headquarters of Commander Logistics and called on Commander Logistics Rear Admiral Mushtaq Ahmed. They spent some time together and exchanged views on matters of common interest.

During their stay in Karachi, the members of the visiting ships will pay a visit to the Mazar-i-Quaid and lay wreath to pay homage to the Father of the Nation.

A visit to the Pakistan Maritime Museum is also included in the schedule.—APP
