Fraud case against banker

SIALKOT, Nov 19: Daska City police on Monday registered a fraud case against HBL’s Bambanwala branch manager, a patwari and another accused.

Bank manager Saleem Akhtar, patwari Tufail and Nazir Ahmad had sold the mortgaged house at Muhallah Islampura to Rashid Mir of Model Town, Gujranwala.

The owner of the house had reported to have obtained a loan against his property after paying illegal gratification to the bank manager. No arrest has so far been made.

Further investigation is under way.
