Nazim promises amenities

DADU, Nov 19: Water supply, drainage and basic health facilities would be provided to newly established colonies in the outskirt of Dadu City.

This was assured by Dadu district Nazim, Malik Asad Sikandar while talking to the delegations of growers and Nazims of union councils here on Monday.

He asked the Nazims of UCs and tail-enders of Johi to check the watercourses/modules of waterways originating from Johi Barrage and on finding any watercourse tempered with, report it to concerned police station and officials of the irrigation department.

He said FIR would be lodged against the influential landlords and irrigation officials who were found involved in water theft.

THEFT: Some four unidentified men committed a theft of Rs7,500 cash and gold jewellry in a house in Mailk Town, Kotri, the other night.

The thieves sneaked into the house of Deewan Peeromal, broke open the doors of the rooms and cupboards and took away the cash and the jewellry.

Kotri police have registered FIR against four accused and are investigating.

ARRESTED: Thrari Mohabbat police on Monday arrested Wazir Solangi and recovered one shotgun and 13 cartridges from his possession.
