PESHAWAR, Nov 19: A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Islamia College, Peshawar, was held here under the chairmanship of Education Minister syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani.

The meeting, beside others, was attended by the Registrar of the Peshawar University, Mohammad Ajmal Khan, Principal of ICP, Syed Musarrat Shah, Additional Secretaries, Education, Finance and PE.

The Principal of ICP, as secretary of the BOT, presented the progress report which claimed that the income from Islamia club building in Khyber Bazar, Peshawar, and Tehsil bazar, Charsadda, had increased form 1,118,000 to 1,700,000 and Rs700,000 to Rs1 million respectively.

With regard to the landed properties in Charsadda, the report said that the income could further increase from Rs408,000 to Rs3,000,000 if it could be leased out to Pakistan Oil Seed Development Board.

However, in this regard, the writ petitions of the tenants were accepted by the High Court because, the BOT had not issued notices to them.

The report claimed that fresh notices were under progress. It further said that a total of Rs2,800,000 in different dues had been recovered from different departments.

It also said that the lands had been re-demarcated and the trespassers wherever found asked to vacate the lands.
