By Our Correspondent

SIALKOT, Nov 18: The local district government has decided to take control of the Munshi Imam Din Memorial Trust Hospital in the ‘larger public interest’.

Official sources said the district government would allocate annual budget for the hospital situated at Khummanwala village.

They said the step had been taken to provide better health and medical facilities free of cost to the people of this remote area.

The family of the late local philanthropist Munshi Imam Din had constructed the hospital several years ago.

Hafiz Saeed: Lashkar-i-Taiba amir Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has urged the Pakistan government to take up the issue to the UN to globally pressurize America and its allies to stop bombing in Afghanistan before Ramazan.

In his Juma sermon at the Murray College ground, he said continuation of the US-led war in Afghanistan, particularly during the holy month of Ramazan, would alienate the Muslim world.

Hafiz Saeed condemned bombing on retreating Taliban troops and called it American barbarism.

He urged the government to adopt “realistic” policies for the peaceful resolutions of the Afghanistan and Kashmir issues.

He said the Kashmir dispute has attracted the world attention due to rising Indian atrocities on the innocent people in the held valley.
