KARACHI: Pushcarts, sewing machines distributed

KARACHI, Nov 18: The city Nazim, Naimatullah Khan, on Sunday, distributed 100 pushcarts and 50 sewing machines among the unemployed and needy people.

A social organization — Al-Khidmat — had arranged these carts and machines in Landhi under its scheme to rehabilitate the poor. Landhi town Nazim Mohammad Shahid was also present on the occasion.

Naimatullah Khan said Quranic system has taught welfare of the mankind and all the ills and problems of the society can be solved by following the path of the holy Quran.

He said Islam emphasises on peoples’ rights and we must take care of our brethren during the holy month.

The Nazim praised the services of Al-Khidmat and said it had always served the needy during the month of Ramazan.

Pakistan was founded for creating an Islamic society, he said, and vowed to convert Karachi into an Islamic welfare city.—APP
