MITHI, Nov 17: The residents of Mithi town have urged the Sindh education minister, district coordination officer Tharparkar and other authorities to get vacated the buildings of the town schools which have been occupied by the government officers particularly district officials for their offices.
A number of the residents complained assistant district officer education (female) had established her office in Government Girls Primary School North Colony by occupying two rooms out of six, badly disturbing the education of 220 girls.
The staffers of ADOE’s office including two clerks, a peon, a watchman and a sweeper, have reportedly disturbed the educational atmosphere of the school.
The complainants pointed out the district education officer (female) had established her office in another girls primary school to which a girls high school is also attached.
As the office and the schools have the same main gate and there is no partition wall between them, the presence of male staff members of the DEO’s office and the visitors are causing lot of inconvenience to the girls and their teachers.
Besides, five rooms of North Colony Boys High School have been occupied by the education works department for its office, which has created acute shortage of rooms for classes.
Consequently around two hundred boys remain deprived of getting admission to the school.
Two other schools of the town are also not free from the interference of the officials of education department.
Seven rooms of main boys primary school are being used for the offices of ADOE primary and DEO elementary and the hostel warden’s quarter and the kitchen of the boys high school’s hostel, have been turned into the office of executive district officer (education), which has paralysed the management of two hostels.
