MANSEHRA, Nov 17: With the beginning of the Ramazan-ul-Mubarak the prices of the essential items have gone up from 20 to 25 per cent, a survey revealed.

According to the survey, due to the non-administerial check on the shopkeepers the prices of fruits and vegetables have been increased and it was observed that there was no price list on most of the shops and the same items were selling at different prices in the same locality and same market.

When the shopkeepers were asked why they don’t have the price list they said that the local administration has not issued any price list for Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.

The price of the potato has been increased from Rs10 to Rs14 per kg, onion from Rs8 to Rs12, tomato from Rs15 to Rs20 and Garlic from Rs30 to Rs40.

The prices of the all sorts of fruits have also been increased at least by Rs5 per kg on the first day of Ramazan.
