LAHORE, Nov 16: Lahore American School (LAS) defeated hosts Asia American School 23-19 to capture Lahore Inter-School basketball trophy Friday.

Earlier, LACAS School recovered to beat Lahore Lyceum 7-5  to secure third position.

In the final, Lahore American School led the first half 10-8.

Ayesha (9), Chandni (6) and Tamana (4) were the chief scorers for the winners. Sheherzad (8) and Cybil (3) fought hard to reduce the margin.

In the low-scoring third position match, Lahore Lyceum gained 2-1 lead at the interval. But LACAS fought back in  the  second half to win 7-5.

Fatima (4) and Nazia (2) were the key scorers for the winners. Zaib (3) and Sabrin (2) shared the points for the losers.
