ADBP arrests 39 defaulters in Dadu

DADU, Nov 16: The Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan, Dadu region, launched an operation against defaulters in the district and arrested 39 of them on Friday.

Seven teams belonging to the Sehwan Sharif, Johi, Bhan Saeedabad, Radhan, Sita Road, Mehar, and Khairpur Nathan Shah branches with the support of the district support team raided the houses of defaulters including growers, landlords, and the leaders of various political parties to recover Rs900 million in dues.

The 39 defaulters who were arrested were M Rafiq Kalhoro, M Suleman Panhwar, Dhani Bux Pitafi, Azizullah Panhwar, M Ibrahim Abro, Ghulamullah Abro, M Ismail Chandio, Inayatullah Awan, Jan M Palah, M Juman Birhamani, Ghulam Haider Mallah, M Moosa Junejo, M Ibrahim Mirbahar, Ahmed Ali Jatoi, M Parial Jatoi, Shahabuddin Junejo, Mehboob Janwari, Shafi M Kalhoro, Mumtaz Janwari, Shahan Wadho, Ali Bux Khoso, Raban Abdo, A Warayo Mahesar, and M Yaqoob Khoso; landlords Qurban Chandio, Ashfaq Channa, Abdul Hakeem Babar, Rajab Ali Mahesar, Rais Bachal Chandio, Ghulam Hussain Chandio, and Ghulam Hussain Arain; village heads Sher M Kaloi, Jan M Chandio, and Shaukat Khokhar; and leaders of various political parties Ali M Khanharo, M Ibrahim, Lutf Ali Gadhi, Gul Sher Siyal, and M Urs Siyal.

On being contacted, the regional manager, ADBP region, Dadu, Altaf Ahmed Memon said that a task force had been constituted on the directives of high officials of the bank to recover the loan and to arrest the defaulters.

SHOT DEAD: A man, Abdullah Landhar (55), was shot dead by his relative, Abdul Rasheed Landhar, and another unidentified accomplice over a matrimonial dispute in Quami Charo village, Khairpur Nathan Shah Taluka, the other day.
