Progress on uplift projects reviewed

ISLAMABAD, Nov 16: A high-level meeting here on Friday reviewed the progress on mega-development projects annouced by the president on Aug 14 this year and directed the concerned authorities to accelerate the pace of work.

Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz, who presided the meeting, expressed satisfaction over the progress in implementing mega projects which included Gomal Zam Dam, Right Bank Outfall Drain (RBOD-II), Mirani Dam Project, Greater Thal Canal, Makran Coastal Road, Greater 100 mgd bulk water supply project of Karachi and greater Quetta water supply improvement.

He, however, noted that the pace of work could be further accelerated for their early completion.
