KARACHI: Eleven vehicles taken away

KARACHI, Nov 16: Eleven vehicles — five cars and six motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Friday, the police said.

The cars were hijacked in Darakhshan, Gizri, Sharea Faisal, Sir Syed Town, and Hyderi Market.

Three motorcycles were hijacked in Kharadar, Risala, and Al-Falah. Three others were stolen in Azizabad, Shareefabad, and Mochko.

The police also claimed on Friday to have recovered four vehicles in the city.

ROBBERY: Bandits robbed a trader of Rs1.1 million and 500 US dollars at Latif Cloth Market in Kharadar on Friday.

The police said that two armed men came to the office of Yarn Enterprise, held the owner as hostage at gunpoint, collected the cash and one mobile phone and escaped with the loot.

WOUNDED: A teenaged girl was wounded when she was hit by a stray bullet in Gulbahar on Friday. She was admitted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
