KARACHI, Nov 16: Two young man fell victim to reckless driving in the city on Friday.

A young motorcyclist died in a road accident in Soldier Bazaar. The police said that Mohammed Farooq, aged 30, was knocked down by a recklessly-driven water tanker. Farooq was rushed to Civil Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The police claimed to have arrested the driver.

An unidentified young man died in a road accident on Jehangir Road. The police said that the young man was run over by an unknown vehicle. The body was sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

Several passengers suffered minor injuries when a passenger coach overturned on Lilly bridge. The driver of the coach, who was serious injured, had been admitted to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre, sources at the hospital said.

DIES: A 10-year-old boy died and two other boys were wounded when the service gun of a private security guard went off accidentally in Nazimabad on Friday.

The police said that three boys, Abdur Rahman, aged 10, Mir Afzal, aged 11, and Shahzeb, aged 12, were wounded when the service gun of a private security guard went off accidentally. The three boys were plying in Ibn Insha Park in Allama Iqbal Town when the incident occurred. The police said that the guard was deputed at a nearby bungalow, where his gun accidentally went off injuring the three boys. The wounded were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where Abdur Rahman died.

FOUND DEAD: An unidentified man was found dead in the Lyari river at Kalri on Friday. The police said that the dead man was in his mid-40s. The body had been sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem, where the report had been reserved till the receipt of histopathological and chemical report, the police said.
