Electricity to five villages cut

NAWABSHAH, Nov 15: A special team of Wapda disconnected electric supply to five villages of Nawabshah and Sakrand talukas.

Hawaldar Munawar of army monitoring team Wapda with other staff raided Nizamani, Barkat Shah, Sagar Unnar, Chatan Shah and Ali Mohammad Mari villages of taluka Sakrand and Nawabshah and disconnected power supply to the villages due to non-payment of dues and theft of electricity.

BIKE SNATCHED: Two persons, Riaz Hussain Shah and Zahid Hussain Shah, allegedly snatched motorcycle (NHB-404) from Riaz Hussain Panhwar at gunpoint near his farm in village Padai near Qazi Ahmed.

Police have lodged case against the accused.

RAID: ASP Saddar, Azad Khan with a heavy police contingent raided a place near Sabzi Mandi here, arrested Shakeel, Mujeeb, Javed and Ashraf and recovered an amount of Rs37,500 and fake prize bonds from their possession.

A case under section 420 PPC has been lodged against them with the Town police.

PASSENGERS LOOTED: Passengers of a Hyderabad bound Shalimar coach (P-0024) were looted by a group of armed dacoits near Daleldero late Wednesday night.

Five unidentified gunmen after depriving the passengers of cash, gold ornaments and other valuables, disembarked from the bus at Sakrand.
