QUETTA: Thousands of Taliban fighters are converging on Kandahar to attend a Jirga being held on Thursday to decide the future course of action, writes our staff correspondent.

Taliban commanders and fighters hailing from different provinces and also including those of Kabul have started arriving in Kandahar, the headquarters of the militia movement, sources said.
