HESCO reach final

HYDERABAD, Nov 14: The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) on Wednesday reached the final of All Pakistan Umed Ali Kaimkhani football tournament defeating PWD after a thrilling contest of 2-1 here at Wapda Sports Ground.

Both the teams displayed an outstanding performance, however, HESCO took the lead of one goal in the 40th minute of the match when Rashid Siddiqui managed to net the ball into the goal post during a fine movement from strikers.

In the 20th minute of the second half, HESCO doubled its lead after a goal from Imran Baig, however, the PWD reduced the lead when Mumtaz Bhatti made a goal in the 30th minute of the second half which ended final 2-1.

On Thursday the second semi final will be played between Habib Bank and DFA Thatta at Wapda Sports Ground.—APP
