PML leader blames govt for Kabul fall

By Our Correspondent

GUJRANWALA, Nov 14: PML-N chief coordinator and former federal minister Ahsan Iqbal has alleged that the government was responsible for the fall of Kabul.

Addressing the District Bar Association here on Wednesday, he said defective policy of the government had brought the country on the verge of economic disaster.

He said the government had arrested all the patriots while enemies of the country were still at large. Javed Hashmi was arrested in a fabricated case, he added.

He said freezing of bank accounts was a blunder committed by Nawaz Sharif government which resulted in great financial loss.

PML-N deposed MNAs Ghulam Dastagir Khan, Mahmood Bashir Virk, former MPAs Barrister Osman Ibrahim, Abdul Rauf Mughal and others were also present on the occasion.

LOOTED: Dacoits looted cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees and drove away with a motorcycle in five strikes in and around the city on Wednesday.

Reports reaching here revealed that three dacoits barged into expatriate Salamat Ali’s house in Gulzar Colony, held up the inmates and decamped with cash, gold ornaments and electronic goods worth Rs500,000. They beat the inmates on resistance and locked the house before fleeing.

Meanwhile, four robbers stormed into trader Nazir Ahmad’s house in Chandni Chowk. They tied the inmates, locked them in a room and escaped with cash, gold ornaments and other valuables.

Three outlaws took away cash, jewellery and other valuables from the house of Omar Farooq in Islamia park. They beat the owner before escaping.

Bandits deprived two passersby of cash and wrist watches on the Hafizabad Road when they were on their way back home from market.

Two other bandits drove away with Munir Ahmad’s two-wheeler in Satellite Town.
