Khananoo Residents demand amenities

BUNER, Nov 14: The newly-formed welfare organization Tanzeem Roorwali has called upon the authorities to resolve problems of Khananoo Derai, union council Makhranai-Chamla.

Haji Jamshed Khan, president of the organization in his inaugural speech at a recently held forum explained that how the successive governments had ignored the area. He said even the basic requirements like roads, electricity, potable water, irrigation, telephone, health and education was lacking there. He said people were living a miserable life as the government departments had not attempted to provide the basic needs.

Haji Jamshed said there was no middle school for boys and girls, even there was no staff for primary schools.

Similarly, potable water was still a dominant issue and completion of Dand Mera scheme at the earliest was needed.

He said over 75 per cent of the population had no electricity. He demanded establishment of basic health unit at Khananoo Derai and dispensary at village level. There existed no veterinary hospital.

He was expressed his concern over increasing deforestation and demanded to stop the practice.

Amir Ali Khan, Syed Noorullah, Syed Zareen Shah, Nadir Khan, Toti Khan, Sartaj Khan, Amir Noosh Khan, Wahid Shah and others spoke on the occasion.
