QUETTA, Nov 14: Pakistan has tightened security at the border with Afghanistan after the fall of Kabul and pushed back over 200 Afghans on Wednesday who had been arrested at different checkpoints between border town Chaman and Quetta on Tuesday.
These people crossed into Pakistan from different unfrequented routes on Tuesday after the Northern Alliance swept into Kabul.
The pressure of Afghan refugees increased at the Chaman border from areas taken over by the anti-Taliban forces. A border security force official told this correspondent that some Pakistanis were also seen across the border who had gone to Afghanistan to fight alongside Taliban.
