KARACHI, Nov 14: A violent quarrel over children’s dispute led to the death of a man in Manghopir.
Ghulam Mohammad went to his neighbour Saleem to complain that his son had beaten his son up, Saleem got annoyed over the complain and attacked Gulam with a stick. Saleem also was attacked with a stick and died shortly after being taken to reaching Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
ACCIDENT: A elderly man died in a traffic accident at Shahra-i-Faisal on Wednesday.
Police said that the victim Rana Mohammad Akram, aged 65, was hit by an unknown vehicle on Shahra-i-Faisal near Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road on Wednesday.
The victim was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead by the doctors.
CRUSHED TO DEATH: A young man was crushed beneath a locomotive near Kala Board, Malir. Police said that the victim Shakil Ahmed, aged 25, fell and was crushed beneath an upcountry bound train on the tracks near Kala Board, Malir. The body was sent to the JPMC for postmortem, police said.
CARJACKINGS: At least nine vehicles -five cars and four motorcycles- were either hijacked or stolen in different parts of the city on Wednesday, police said.
The cars (ACW-967) Gulshan-i-Iqbal, (KE-1779) Korangi Industrial Area, (CK-9260) Tipu Sultan, (H-3213) Taimouria, (KF-6423) Gulberg were hijacked on Wednesday.
The motorcycles (KAN-8550) Arambagh, (KCU-3115) Mithadar, (KCT-6340) Ferozabad and (KCS-5994) Mobina Town were stolen by the bandits on Wednesday, police said.
Police claimed recovery of three vehicles from different parts of the city on Wednesday.
HOLDUPS: Three armed holdups were committed in different places in the city.
Three men barged into the house of Lal Mohammad scooped the cash and fled with the loot.
The house of Najmat Khan was raided by bandits in New Karachi, they scrounged all the cash and other valuables and escaped with the loot.
Armed robbers intercepted Liaquat Ali in the Ferozabad police limits and deprived him of cash and wrists watch.
