US eying Central Asia’s natural resources: JUI

By Our Correspondent

THATTA, Nov 11: The Americans and their allies have nothing to do with Osama bin Laden and the Taliban, but their sole objective was to usurp the huge natural resources of Central Asia.

This was stated by Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, the central deputy secretary general, JUI, and Khalid Mehmood Soomro, the provincial secretary general, JUI, while addressing a big gathering on Sunday opposite the Thatta Press Club.

Recalling the Sept 11 incident, the JUI leaders said that the US had still not been able to produce concrete evidence against Osama and the Al-Qaida regarding it. They alleged that in fact the whole episode had been master-minded by the Jews intelligence agency: Mossad. They said that 4,000 Jews, who were regular employees at the WTC, were absent on the day of the incident.

They added that besides, the prime minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, was scheduled in the US two days prior to the incident but the visit was abruptly cancelled without any plausible reason.

They further said that two of the main shareholders of the carrier company withdrew their shares. Both were Jews who had invested in the four planes blown up in the incident.

The JUI leaders said that the Americans were focussing their greedy eyes on Gwadar, Makran, and other parts of Balochistan where 50 trillion dollars worth of gas from Central Asia as well as other costly minerals of Afghanistan could be transported.

Our Sukkur correspondent adds: Hundreds of workers of Jamaat Islami, led by their Central Deputy Chief Liaqat Baloch, staged a sit-in in Golimar area of Kandhkot on Sunday against US air attacks on Afghanistan.

Raising slogans against the government, the protestors tried to enter Kandhkot city from Golimar, but the police foiled their attempt. The situation became tense for quite some time. Later, the protesters staged a sit-in for one hour outside the city limits and raised slogans condemning the attitude of the police and the administration.

The JI leaders who participated in the sit-in included Liaqat Baloch, Asadullah Bhutto and Abdul Hafeez Bijarani.

Speaking on the occasion, they demanded of the government to push US troops from Afghanistan immediately and also withdraw its support to the Americans.
