Minor burnt to death

OKARA, Nov 11: A 4-year-old child was burnt to death in Bibipur village, some 12km from here, on Sunday.

According to details, Yasin son of Nazir of Bahmaniwala was asleep on the roof of the house when his quilt caught fire.

The burnt child was admitted to the DHQ Hospital where he breathed his last within couple of hours.

KILLED: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Okara, some 30km from here, on Sunday evening.

Two friends, Younis son of Bahlak and Mian Khan son of Pehlwan Bhatti, were on the 11/GD-11/1-R Road when a bus carrying a marriage party from Kot Radha Kishan to Okara collided head-on with their vehicle. Both the riders died on the spot.

Chuchak police have registered a case against the absconding driver.

RAMAZAN BAZAARS: Special committees will be established to control the prices of edible items during the month of Ramazan.

This was stated by district coordinating officer (DCO) Khalid Masood Chaudhry following a meeting.

The DCO said special Ramazan bazaars would be set up to facilitate people.
