PESHAWAR, Nov 10: The technical director of FATA Development Corporation, Taj Mohammad, was released by an Ehtesab court here on Saturday after he had agreed to pay Rs21 million to the National Accountability Bureau.

The accountability court, presided over by Attaullah Khan, was informed by Deputy Prosecutor-General Mian Fasihul Mulk that the NAB chairman had accepted the plea-bargain of the accused, who was charged with possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The chairman, he added, had issued the release order.

The court was informed that the accused would pay Rs8 million in advance, whereas rest of the amount would be paid within six months of his release.
