SAHIWAL, Nov 9: Farid Town police have failed to recover the missing superintendent of the local income tax department despite the passage of 36 hours.

Rana Munawar Ahmed had reportedly disappeared on the night of Nov 6 when he was last seen dining with headconstable Abdul Ghani and car driver Fida Hussain.

Employees of the income tax department staged a protest demonstration in front of the Farid Town police station on which the police assured them for an early recovery of the missing official.
