KARACHI, Nov 9 : The Sindh govt has decided that the growers holding at least five acres of agriculture land in urban and twelve acres in rural areas would be entitled to allotments at New Sabzi Mandi. The plots would be allotted through draw.

The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the cabinet’s sub-committee, held here under the chairmanship of provincial minister for agriculture, food and forest, Hassan Ali Chaniho.

Before holding the draw, a scrutiny committee would examine the papers of applicants to ensure a transparent process of allotment and submit its report to the sub-committee at the next meeting.—APP
