Nabi Bakhsh Zehri dies

KARACHI, Nov 8: Mir Nabi Bakhsh Zehri, a former senator, died here on Thursday after a protracted illness. He was 80.

According to his family, he is survived by five sons and two daughters.

He had been under treatment for the past five years.

He was buried in the PECHS graveyard after Isha prayers.

Mr Zehri was the president of his own faction of PML.

He had joined the All-India Muslim League in 1937 and taken active part in the Pakistan Movement.

After Pakistan’s creation, Mr Zehri was elected to the West Pakistan National Assembly.

His grandson, Mir Zarraq Zehri, is joint secretary, PML (Quaid-i-Azam).
