Man killed, two hurt in car-bus collision

OKARA, Nov 8: A car rider was killed and two other sustained serious injuries in a road accident at Depalpur Chowk here on Thursday.

The car (MNR-969) was on its way to Lahore from Rahim Yar Khan when a speeding bus (LPT-355) crashed into it. Rana Ijaz, Rana Gulbaz and Rana Naeem received serious wounds. They were rushed to a Lahore hospital where Rana Ijaz expired.

B-Division police have registered a case.

Meanwhile, a youth of Jokhianwala village was knocked down and killed by a speeding bus (LXE-3290) at Chak 17/1-L.

The deceased along with his mother was standing at the bus stop when the accident occurred.

Renala Khurd police have registered a case against the bus driver, Parvez Ahmad.

FOUND DEAD: The bullet-riddled body of a youth was found on Thursday from a drain at Chak 6/4-L.

William Masih had gone out of his house after meal on Wednesday night, but he failed to report back. On Thursday morning, some villagers found his body lying in their village drain.

Okara Saddar police have instituted a case.
