Dadu District Council budget okayed

DADU, Nov 8: The members of District Council, Dadu, have unanimously approved a surplus budget of Rs13.035 million of the council for the year 2001-2002.

The budget session of the District Council, Dadu, was held at the council hall here on Thursday.

The Nazim of union council of Sita Road, Ali Mohammad Soomro, acted as convener, while the acting district Nazim of Dadu, Sadaqat Ali Jatoi, presented the budget for 2001-2002 in the session.

While addressing the council session acting Nazim Sadaqat Ali Jatoi said that the total income of the district council of Dadu will be Rs66.668 million and the expenditure will be Rs53.633 million and thereby having a surplus of Rs13.035 million.

He informed the house that the under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme, 18 schemes at a cost of Rs3.0897 million were completed in the first phase, 56 schemes with an estimated cost of Rs98.389 million in the second phase were completed while the work on eight development schemes was going on.
