By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 8: Speakers at a seminar on Wednesday demanded equal opportunities for the handicapped people so that they could play their role in the progress of society.

The seminar entitled Vocational Services: Opportunities to Special Services, was organized by the Rotary Club to acknowledge the three handicapped students who had topped the recently held intermediate examinations.

They said that these handicapped students had proved that if given equal opportunities they were equally able to achieve success in every field.

They demanded that more employment opportunities be created for the handicapped people so that they could earn and become self-sufficient.

Retired Col. N D Tanvir, S. Mohsin Ali, Khuda Bux, Maqbool Ahmad, Ibrahim Shah and others spoke on the occasion.

Later, prizes were given to the handicapped children Naseemus Sehar (Ida Rieu School and College for the Blind and Deaf), Mohammad Ashraf (Deaf Education Welfare Association), and Mohammad Atif (Ida Rieu), who secured first, second and their position respectively.
