Zimbabwe hope to end victory drought

DHAKA, Nov 6: Zimbabwe have lost 16 One-day Internationals in a row but hope to get back to winning ways during their tour of Bangladesh this month.

“Our players will return to

a winning rhythm. We hope to win this series in Bangladesh,” newly-appointed captain Brian Murphy told reporters.

A 15-member Zimbabwe team arrived in Dhaka Monday to play two Tests and three one-dayers, starting with the first Test at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Thursday.

Zimbabwe lost all their matches in the triangular tournament in Sharjah last week, which Pakistan won by beating Sri Lanka in the final.

Squad: Brian Murphy (captain), Gary Brent, Douglas Marillier, Grant Flower, Stuart Carlisle, Andy Flower, Craig Wishart, Dion Ebrahim, Heath Streak, Sean Ervine, Travis Friend, Trevor Gripper, Mluleki Nkala, Henry Olonga and Raymond Price.—Reuters
