Rocket seized in Quetta

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Nov 5: Police on Monday seized a rocket from an under-construction house in Killi Faizabad.

According to sources, the SSP Quetta, Abid Ali, received information about suspicious activities in the area. He raided the under-construction house along with a police team and bomb disposal squad.

“We recovered a rocket along with electric wire and a silver plate,” Quetta police chief said, adding that the rocket installed by unknown saboteurs was found ready for firing on Quetta city. The bomb disposal squad officials defused the rocket. The police officials did not disclose the make of the rocket. “It was continuation of yesterday’s sabotage act in which they fired a rocket on the city,” police said.

Watchman of the under-construction house and seven others have been detained for questioning in connection with rocket attack. A case has been registered under explosive act and further investigation was under progress.
