AUBURN HILLS (Michigan), Nov 5: Jerry Stackhouse scored 22 of his 28 points in the first half as the Detroit Pistons built a big lead and coasted to a 100-78 romp over the Washington Wizards.
Stackhouse connected on 10-of-13 shots and Clifford Robinson added all 12 of his points in the first two periods, when the Pistons shot 58 percent (25-for-43) and took a 61-37 lead into the locker room.
Michael Jordan scored 17 points, hitting 7-of-14 shots, in the first half. He finished with 19 points and a season-high eight rebounds but sat down for good with 7:51 to play in the third quarter.
The Pistons played before a crowd of 22,076, the first time since 1993 that their first two home games were sold out.
