Case against agitating students

VEHARI, Nov 5: City police on Monday registered a case against eight college students who allegedly tried to cause breakdown of law and order in the campus.

According to the principal, the students wanted to stage a demonstration in the name of Dars-i-Quran to show resentment over government’s policy on present war.

He said the students took to streets and blocked traffic when they were refused by the administration.

A case has been registered under section 16 MPO on the recommendation of inquiry committee comprising Prof Muhammad Ali, Prof Abdul Rasool, Prof Ghulam Muhammad and Prof Abdul Rahman Dogar.

The students included Sohaib Ammar, Ajmal Bhatti, Aftab Khan, Adil Faryal, Hassan Sardar, Rizwan Hafeez, Wasif Bhatti and

Asim Joya.
