Shahbaz Qalandar’s Urs opened

SEHWAN, Nov 5: Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro here on Monday inaugurated the 749th three-day annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Usman Marvendi Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

The governor accompanied by Sindh minister for auqaf, Zakat, Ushr, religious and minority affairs, Maulana Mohammed Wali Raazi, and Sindh Chief Secretary Javed Ashraf laid floral wreath and offered Fateha at the Mazar of the renowned saint.

Later, the governor held inspection of the ongoing reconstruction and renovation work of the Mazar.

He also laid foundation stone of the construction of “Wazoo Khana” and a Public Shed outside the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

Earlier, on the arrival of the governor, the Zila Nazim of Dadu, Malik Asad Sikandar, and others accorded warm welcome to him.—APP
