KARACHI, Nov 5: The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Justice Saiyed Saeed Ashhad, presided over a full court reference on Monday on the demise of 11 lawyers.

The late advocates were Abdul Latif Khan, Ismail Rassani, Mohammed Shibli, Syed Abdul Majid, Khalid Athar, Syed Saquib Husain, Mohammed Maqsood, Mansoob Ali Qureshi, Syed Ehsanullah Husain, Gul Zaman Khan and Aftab Ahmed Akhund.

Paying tribute to the departed souls, the chief justice praised their services and hard work in the field of law.

The reference was attended by all the judges of the Sindh High Court present in Karachi.

Raja Qureshi, the Advocate-General of Sindh, Rasheed Ahmed Rizvi, the President of the Sindh High Court Bar Association, Mohammed Sadiq, the President of the Karachi Bar Association, Syed Zaki Mohammed, Deputy Attorney- General for Pakistan Mustafa Lakhani, the vice chairman of the Sindh Bar Council and a number of prominent lawyers were present at the reference. Most of them spoke at the reference and paid tributes to the departed souls.—APP
