KARACHI, Nov 5: The BA examinations commenced at 29 centres, including 19 for females, set up at various departments of the Karachi University and city colleges, on Monday.
About 32000 male and females candidates would appear in BA (Pass) Parts I and II (regular and external) annual examinations 2001, which would continue up to Dec 15.
Papers of Islamic Studies (Islamiat) compulsory and Moral Philosophy (for Non-Muslims) were on the first day.
In all, 14 cases of unfair means were detected, the UFM section of the university said.
One female and 12 male candidates were caught cheating at different centres, while one of the candidates was held for unauthorized change of examination centre.
EXAMS RESCHEDULED: The University has re-scheduled the terminal examinations 2001 of Mass Communication and Islamic Learning subsidiary subjects owing to clash in the schedule, adds APP.
This was announced by Dean, Faculty of Arts, on Monday.
The Islamic Learning subsidiary IInd year course No 402 would now be held on Nov 15 from 2pm to 5pm and the terminal exam of Mass Communication subsidiary course No 302 would be held on Nov 16 from 2pm to 5pm.
