Matric exams to be split up from 2003

MULTAN, Nov 4: The examination of ninth and 10th classes will be conducted separately throughout the Punjab from the year 2003.

This decision was taken in a meeting of the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBC) in Islamabad with Faisalabad Board chief Chaudhry Riaz Ahmad in the chair.

The meeting also decided that total numbers in ninth class would be 400 while 450 in the 10th class. All BISEs would adopt a uniform policy with regard to the amendment in the birth date.

In a separate meeting of the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairman in Dera Ghazi Khan, it was decided that matric and FA/FSc examinations for the year 2001 would commence across the province from March 2 and May 11, respectively. — Nouman
