THATTA, Nov 4: Deputy Convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM’s) Coordination Committee, Mr. Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, has said except the agenda of ‘Independent Sindhu Desh’ his party has an understanding with JSQM on all the issues confronting the province and fight together till the achievement of its goal. Talking to newsmen at Thatta press club after delivering rupees one lac cash extended as grant by the MQM chief Altaf Hussain to the Thatta journalists, here on Sunday, he said that in the past despite written agreements with PPP and IJI, both had betrayed MQM. But with the JSQM, even having no such written agreement, he believed his party would never part ways because both the parties have dedication and sincerity with their cause.

To a question, he disclosed, the Americans have stormed the region with multi-purpose agenda. In fact they have focused their eyes on the 50 trillion dollar reservoirs of gas in central Asia, besides un-estimated mineral reservoirs, thus their vital priority was not Osama bin Laden but the treasures of this region. Lamenting rapid influx of Afghan nationals in interior of Sindh, Mr. Sheikh said his party would no longer sit as silent spectator in the situation and would chalk out strategies to get rid off the catastrophe before they usurp they Sindh resources. Criticising accountability process, he observed that only politicians were being tried and taken to task, much against the fact that the Generals and key judicial officials were comparatively corrupt in this country.

He said Altaf Bhai strongly believes that 98 percent of lower and lower middle class population have the right to rule while the rest of two percent privilege class had looted and plundered the economy of this country.

WAGE BOARD: He demanded implementation of wage board award. Accompanied by Khalid Baloch, in charge Sindh organising committee and Thatta organiser Ibrahim Soho, he left for Karachi.
