KARACHI: Library turned into town office

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 4: Residents of Old Golimar have urged the authorities to restore the original status of Shah Latif Library and a community hall of the locality.

They said that a library-cum-reading room had been established in the area after their persistent efforts, but now it has been converted into a town office.

Not only that, a community hall for holding social gatherings has also been converted into a union council office, depriving the people of a basic social need.

A group of women of the area also protested against the decision. They urged the government to restore the original status of these two buildings.
