HYDERABAD, Nov 3: Eye specialists have cautioned that even a minor eye disease should be treated without any loss of time as carelessness can prove very dangerous.
Speaking at a public awareness programme, organized by the Aga Khan University, Karachi, here on Friday, Dr Sohail Akbar advised the parents to get the eyes of their children examined at regular intervals. He said mostly sugar patients suffered from eye diseases and added that the diseases could be treated through laser treatment.
Dr Azam Ali said that sometimes one could not fix his eyes on an object due to some black spot obstructions. He said such patients should immediately consult the doctors.
He said big eyes were taken as a sign of beauty among children but warned that wide eyes were more vulnerable to diseases.
Dr Asad Abbas, Dr Kazi Khalid Mehmood and others also spoke on the occasion.
MUET: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology authorities have announced that the rehearsal for the university convocation 2001 originally scheduled for Nov 9 will now be held on Nov 8 at 11:00am at the university auditorium.
The graduates have been advised to attend the rehearsal on time.
