KARACHI: Building bylaws

Published November 4, 2001

KARACHI, Nov 3: The Secretary Housing & Town Planning, Major Qamar Zaman (retd), has said matters relating to building bylaws, regularization of illegal buildings and cancellation of allotments of plots by the government have been sent to the law department.

He expected that an announcement in this regard would be made the next week after approval by the Sindh governor.

He was talking to a four-member delegation of the Association of Builders and Developers, led by its Chairman here on Saturday.

The secretary said the problems being faced by builders would be solved according to the rules and merits. He assured that if deemed expedient building bylaws would be amended so that construction activities could continue without let and hindrance.—PPI
