BAHAWALPUR, Nov 2: The CIA police on Friday took into custody 10 more people, mostly activists of the Jaish-i-Muhammad, to interrogate them into the church massacre case.

It was learnt that a police party raided their residences at Sadiq Colony and Ahmedpur East where panic gripped the area. Prayer leader Nazir Ahmed was also among those arrested. He was apprehended from his house on Gulmerg Road in the Model Town area.

During the last six days, police have arrested dozens of suspects, but so far they have been unable to apprise the media of their investigation into the church massacre case.

A police source however claims the next two days will be important as the investigation has reached on the brink of a major breakthrough.

RALLY: On the call of the Pak-Afghan Defence Council, a rally was taken out after Friday prayers to condemn the killing of innocent people in Afghanistan.

Starting from Jamia Masjid, the rally was culminated peacefully at the Chowk Bazaar after passing through various city roads. The demonstrators were carrying placards inscribed with anti-American slogans.

A heavy police contingent also accompanied the rally.
