Two killed in road accidents

SAHIWAL, Nov 2: Two persons were killed and a dozen others sustained injuries in road accidents here on Friday.

A speeding bus (LXP-7586) going from Multan to Lahore overturned after crashing into a pick-up (MRC-1050) on the Sahiwal-Arifwala Road. Ghulam Mustafa died on the spot while 12 other passengers received injuries.

The injured were admitted to a local hospital where two of them were stated to be in serious condition. The bus driver managed to escape from the scene.

A speeding tractor-trolley (SLF-3665) crushed to death a pedestrian, Arshad Ali of Chak 46/GD, in suburbs of Noorshah town.

Police have registered a case against the absconding driver.
