Faraz Patel slams century

KARACHI, Nov 1: Faraz Patel hit an elegant unbeaten century to play main role in Zone-VII Whites’ thrilling three-wicket victory over Zone-IV in the KCCA inter-zonal cricket tournament played at the NSK Regional Academy ground Wednesday.

The 16-year-old Faraz batted with patience and hit just three boundaries in his 102. Tariq Rashid made 82. Medium-pacer S.A. Faheem took six wickets for 49 runs but failed to save his team from defeat.

Zone-I Whites defeated Zone-III by seven wickets at KCCA Stadium due to deadly bowling by off-spinner Tahir Khan who captured five wickets for 57.

In another match Zone-V notched-up their third victory in a row when they beat Zone-II by six wickets at LKMC Ground.
