ABBOTTABAD, Nov 1: District assembly of Abbottabad in its introductory session passed two resolutions and then adjourned till November 5 when budget will be presented before the members.

Assembly session was presided over by Naib Nazim Barrister Javed Abbasi which was attended by all the members of district assembly with the district officials.

In the first resolution tabled by the minority member Zakar Paul Advocate and Abbdur Razzaq Abbasi against the killing of Christians at Bahawalpur by un-identified persons full sympathies were shown with the bereaved families.

In second resolution US and its allied forces attack on Afghanistan was also condemned.

In the introductory session newly elected members also spoke on the problems and difficulties of the people of their areas.

District Nazim Col Mustafa Jadoon in his address appreciated the efforts of present government for changing the old colonial system which helped bureaucracy to dominate.

He said now things are moving in right direction and he made it clear that slackness in the development works will not be tolerated.

He said that merit will be the main focal point in all issues.

Col(R) Mustafa said that he has set his priorities to bring the real change in the life style of the common man who was earlier ignored and presented his seven point charter in this regard.

SSC CERTIFICATE: Abbottabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has notified that the detailed marks certificate No.155821 has been issued to Muneer Ahmed for SSC (annual), 2001, but it has been misused by another person with the same name.

The owner of the certificate has been asked to appear before the board otherwise his DMC will be cancelled.

In another case, the board has declared the matriculation certificate of Rasheedur Rehman, who has been elected Nazim of Shangal union council, fake.

His papers were proved to be fake in the election tribunal proceedings.
