Musharraf to meet Chirac


PARIS, Nov 1: Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf will hold talks and have dinner with President Jacques Chirac here next week, the presidential press service said on Thursday.

Arriving from New York where he will be attending a session of the United Nations General Assembly, President Musharraf will meet Chirac on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine arrived in Islamabad on Thursday on a two-day visit to Pakistan.

He is scheduled to hold talks with Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar and call on President Pervez Musharraf.

Hubert Vedrine is also scheduled to hold a press conference on Friday evening.—APP/AFP
